Egypt’s Tourism Revenues Grew 16.2% in 4 Months

Emirates Telecommunications Corp., or Etisalat, the region’s biggest telecom provider by market value, recorded an 8.04 billion total revenues in the first quarter of 2011, an increase of Dh 169 million compared with the corresponding period last year, in which the company’s revenues totaled Dh 7.87 billion.
Etisalat’s net profits hit Dh 1.8 billion in the first quarter of 2011.
The earning per share amounted to Dh 0.23.
The company’s capital spending amounted to Dh 1.11 billion in the first quarter of this year and the net assets value amounted to Dh 41.3 billion.
